CareersEvery advocate’s enrolment is checked by a person on the Claw desk against the State Bar Council roll, or against the enrolment certificate. Every hirer’s organisation is checked too.
Your State Bar Council, enrolment number and year, when you sign up. A certificate upload is optional.
The desk opens your council’s roll, finds the number, and checks that the name and year match.
Hirers see the Verified mark beside your name. The number itself stays private.
The enrolment number stays private. Hirers see the mark.
Only the Claw desk sees your enrolment number. Hirers see the council, the year and the mark. You can choose to show the number in Settings.
A person does each check. Some rolls are slower to search than others, so we do not promise a time.
Verification costs nothing, for advocates and for hirers.
If the details do not match, the desk tells you why. Correct them or upload your certificate.
Students do not need verification; your portfolio shows “Law student”. When you enrol, add your enrolment and the desk checks it.
